A 'bespoke' health and yoga studio has joined the run of unique boutiques and artisans in Penrith’s Victorian shopping arcade.

Jane Amelia Terrett’s studio will offer appointment-only Hatha yoga sessions as well as a host of skin, body, and other health products from carefully selected brands.

Jane has been in the beauty industry for over 20 years, spending a short time abroad and across the UK, but mainly based working with some big brands in London.

Six years ago, she started her next chapter and moved to Penrith where she has grown her other passion for yoga and, in her own words, put down more roots.

“Yoga is the next stage of my life”, commented Jane when discussing her new venture.

She hopes to provide a more bespoke Hatha yoga experience for her already existing clients, whilst using this to attract new ones.

She said: “I like the personal touch and giving back old-fashioned customer service.”

Jane has carefully sourced her shop’s beauty products from some beautiful international brands however, she is keen to support her community by supplying local products as well.

She continued: “I love being able to stock Cumbrian and local and international brands. It’s great when you have tourists visiting who maybe fancy a stretch with the yoga or trying new brands.”

Jane’s Bespoke Health and Yoga Studio is now open Tuesday to Saturday 8.15 am to 4.45pm, and on Mondays by appointment only.

The studio specialises in one-on-one Hatha yoga sessions but also takes group sessions for up to three people.

Hatha yoga focuses on posture and breathing techniques. The word translates to 'force' in English, and traditionally it is said to channel a vital energy source.
