A POPULAR local and tourist pub in Coniston is open again for the first time since November.
The Crown Inn in Coniston closed its doors to upgrade its facilities but is back in business today (March 20).
Yesterday it had a taster night for the locals.
Holly Richardson, the communications manager for Robinsons Brewery & Pubs said: "We have removed the porch from the front of the building but re-used the slate to create our new feature fireplace.
"We've created a private dining room, which we hope will be a great hit for celebrations and larger groups."
The Crown also now features tealights and signs for the bedrooms made from slate made at Coniston Stone Craft.
A new menu has also been prepared with options for all diets. Most of the staff have returned with a new chef added to the team.
