A YOUNG entrepreneur is 'excited' to launch a business that will soon be popping up in different locations across the Lake District - hoping to make locals and tourists 'stop' to see the sweet treats on offer.

Christian Fidoe, 21, from Keswick, yesterday launched 'The Lake District Stop' - a new business selling a selection of pancakes, coffees and ice creams.

The van will operate across a number of locations in and around the Keswick area, with customers being able to keep up with the latest 'stop' on social media channels.

The young entrepreneur said he understands his first venture into business is a 'big leap' but hopes that his gamble will pay off.

Christian said: "I'm excited to start the business especially now it's all up and running. I got a lot of support on social media which I didn't expect.

"Opening this at 21 is a big leap for someone so young, but I feel, why not do this while I am young?

"Our speciality is crepes with our best sellers being biscoff and Kinder Bueno. The coffee is very good - we have had a few compliments  we have tried to choose things that compliment each other really well."

The Lake District Stop will spend its first weekend operating from the Keswick Rugby Club, with more locations set to be added in the future.
