Gen2, one of Cumbria’s largest independent training providers, have launched their apprentice recruitment campaign for 2023.  The company, who is part of City & Guilds, work with many major employers in the local area and are looking to recruit over 500 apprentices to start during 2023.

Programmes range from level 2 pre-apprenticeship programmes to level 6 BEng Honours Degrees in subject areas such as engineering, manufacturing, science, nuclear, business and education. Apprenticeships are open to anyone older than 16 years.

Gen2 were established in 2000 and have four training centres across Cumbria.  The company have approximately 1,500 apprentices currently in learning and offer a wide range of short courses locally and nationally.

In Cumbria:

During National Apprenticeship Week Gen2 will be hosting their largest ever event with 43 challenge team entries and almost 300 apprentices taking part in a grand final event.  The Grand Final is part of Gen2’s 16th anniversary celebrations with learners showcasing their challenge entries from Gen2 centres across Cumbria. This year challenges cover engineering sculpture, entrepreneurial, school resource and their highly competitive robot wars challenge! National apprenticeship week provides an ideal platform to showcase the skills of the apprentice learners to employers and VIP guests.  The company will be sharing videos about the challenges on their social media channels.
