MORE Cumbrian manufacturers have secured support from Made Smarter North West - meaning the pioneering adoption programme has now helped 250 SMEs to invest in new technology.
The North West programme has supported £2.5m investment in the county's manufacturing sector in four years.
Those who have secured support include The Ulverston Meat Company and Lake District Farmers in Ulverston, and Handmark Engineering in Barrow.
The Kendal companies benefitting from support include Ratio Technology, Lakes Sandwiches, and Lakeland Artisan.
Made Smarter North West supports businesses through matched funding, with companies investing in new technology ranging from software and sensors to robotics and extended reality, to become more efficient, build resilience, increase their productivity and grow sustainably.
