PAUL Simpson has confirmed that Carlisle United are on the verge of announcing the appointment of a new first-team physio.
The recruitment process was started in November, when Ross Goodwin left the position after two years in the role.
Goodwin had previously worked at Annan Athletic, Queen of the South and Kilmarnock, with Paul Simpson telling the Carlisle United website when the news of his departure was announced that he was 'gutted'.
He said: "It’s been brilliant working with Ross, he’s excellent at his job, and I’m gutted that he’s moving on."
Now as we enter December, Paul Simpson confirmed that the process to appoint a new first-team physio is nearing completion.
He said: "We're hoping to make an announcement over the next few weeks, we've chosen a new physio and we hope that we will be able to make that announcement over the next few weeks to take us on for the rest of the season."
