A Cockermouth group is hoping people will join them as they do their bit for a national fundraising challenge.
Cockermouth Rotary members will be joining in the ‘Walk a Mile for Polio’ on Sunday, October 23.
They shall set off from Wordsworth House at 11.30am.
"Polio is on the rise again so anything we can do will all be for a good cause," said Rotarian Val Ayre.
"It would be great if people could join us or sponsor us.
"Anybody can join us on the day, all we ask is for sponsorship of £1 from each sponsor for the mile. Each £1 gets doubled by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation."
