Six groups have benefitted from the latest round of community grants.
Cockermouth and Papcastle Recreational Trust provides grants for the provision of facilities for recreation or leisure time. Over the years many groups have benefitted from its support.
This week, at a meeting in the town hall, members agreed the following grants, totalling £2,450: Cockermouth Rotary (Incredible Edibles project) £200; Cockermouth Carnival £500; 1st Cockermouth Scouts (new kitchen) £1,000; Papcastle Social Committee (halloween party) £100; Papcastle Social Committee (Christmas party) £200; Cadets (equipment) £450.
