Methodist minister Ian Parker has published a book about his life.
Rev Parker, who serves the Lamplugh, Kirkland and Ennerdale parish, recalls his early days in the book, What I Can Remember - Reminiscences From Seven Decades.
He credits the writing group of Cockermouth University of the Third Age for their support and encouragement in getting the book written.
He said: "I have written about things which it pleased me to remember, and which I thought other people might find interesting or informative.
"Readers of my generation may have their own memories jogged; younger readers may be struck by how things have changed over seven decades."
Sections include food, work, family and holidays. It begins with his early life growing up in Croydon to his semi-retirement to Cumbria.
What I Can Remember is £5 from The New Bookshop, Cockermouth.
