Three businesses have shared what they will have on offer for those attending a careers fair next month.

The fair will showcase a wide range of employment and skills training.

The Carlisle Careers Fair, which takes place on October 5 at The Halston Hotel, will feature stalls from several businesses, from retail to engineering, finance to healthcare.

People attending can meet local and national employers and apply directly for hundreds of vacancies.

The fair is open to anyone and a wide variety of roles and opportunities will be highlighted.

One business participating is Center Parcs.

A spokesperson from Center Parcs said: “Attendees will be able to find out what a career at Center Parcs looks like, the learning and development opportunities on offer and the benefits of joining the Center Parcs family.

“The team will also be looking to match people to their ideal role and will provide a look at a ‘day in the life’ for our teams.”

Another is Lloyd Motor Group, from which a spokesperson added: “We have a range of different vacancies to suit a variety of interests, from technicians and valeters to sales executives and administrators.

“We're also dedicated to developing emerging talent, and we’re looking for apprentices who are eager to kick start their careers.

“Our apprenticeships are a fantastic opportunity to experience a variety of activities across our organisation and work in our state-of-the-art dealerships.

“We pride ourselves on the success of our apprenticeship programmes, with all of those who have completed their courses taking on a permanent role within our business.

“Whether you’re thinking about your next step following full-time education, or you’re considering a career change, our team will be on hand at the Carlisle Careers Fair to answer any questions you might have.”

Fibrus, a broadband company, said what they’re providing: “We aim to help raise the awareness of the growth of Fibrus within the north of England, what we do as a business, as well as promoting the current vacancies we have in and around the Cumbria area, e.g. project manager, build supervisor, field sales representatives, network strategy director and GIS technician).

“We’ll also be able to talk to potential applicants as to the expansion we foresee in the coming months/years in the north of England.”
