Amanda Dunkley, Assistant Director of People Services for NCIC said: "This is a fantastic opportunity for the people of Whitehaven and the surrounding areas to get an insight into the job opportunities at West Cumberland Hospital.

"We will have staff members on hand ready to answer any questions on the roles as well as offer some practical advice on CV writing and interview techniques.

"If you’ve ever thought about a career within the NHS but weren’t sure where to start, this is the day for you."

The Trust say they are delighted to be working with GRAHAM to offer the chance for the local population to apply for roles within the hospital but also with the construction company.

On the day teams from both NCIC and GRAHAM will be on hand to answer questions and take details and information from prospective applicants.

Damian McCabe, Contracts Manager at GRAHAM, said: "As contractors, we always work closely with the communities in which we operate. This opportunity in particular, allows us to support the local employee market, whilst keeping a really strong and open dialogue with the community.

"The event itself will provide plenty of information about the redevelopment project, and also provide routes for both administrative and construction roles at the Hospital. With such a large scale project, it is excellent to be able to provide longer term opportunities in the region."
