NEW food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Barrow’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.
Furness Golf Club, found on Central Drive, has been handed a three-out-of-five rating after an assessment that took place on August 6.
And Kent Street Chippie, a takeaway at 75 Kent Street, was also given a score of three out of five after having an assessment on August 6.
The food hygiene rating scheme is to allow consumers to make informed choices about the places where they eat out or shop for food thereby encouraging businesses to improve their hygiene standards.
