A RESTAURANT in Dalton has celebrated 14 continuous years of having a five-star food hygiene rating.
In a Facebook post Hartley's said: "After an inspection this lunchtime we have maintained our five-star hygiene rating and the elite award, we have been five stars continuously for 14 years."
'Elite' food hygiene awards are given out to food establishments which have received three consecutive five-star ratings by the website Scores on the Doors.
The food hygiene inspections are completed by Barrow Borough Council and are unannounced.

The report found the restaurant has a 'good' standard across the board for categories such as food handling, cleanliness and condition of facilities and building, and management of food safety.
Hartley's restaurant offers Mediterranean cuisine and an 'alfresco way of eating' to Dalton. The head chef and owner Andrew Turner has experience working in the fine dining industry across the Lake District.
