TWO Furness Pool Hotshots Denis Horan and Karl McQuillan will be playing in the Ultimate Pool Pairs Cup live on TV.
The doubles team will be playing against the best players in the world in Newcastle-under-Lyme. Four pairs will play each week down to a group stage winner. There is a total prize fund of £32,800.
This week's group has been described as the strongest standard ever seen with pool legends such as Shane Thompson and Tom Cousins, John Roe and Lewis Roberts and Andy Appleton and Michael Tomlinson.
Denis said: “We will give it our best and see what happens, it’s an exciting format and anything can happen.”
Each match in the cup is limited to twenty minutes, matches are a race to four frames or whatever the score is when the twenty minutes expires.
Denis and Karl will be playing live on Freesports Sky 422 at 6.00 pm on Monday 15 August.
