THE Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway, which runs for seven miles through the landscape of the western Lake District, has launched a special ‘Cream Tea on the Move’ experience.
A journey for couples and friends, the experience for two takes place on board the brand-new luxury carriage, 'Ruth', which was officially unveiled at the heritage steam railway earlier this year.
Passengers can have a cream tea as they travel along one of the UK’s oldest railway lines.
Departing from Ravenglass, the cream tea experience then steams ahead into the heart of the western Lake District fells, taking in the landscapes of Cumbria.
Rachel Bell, head of marketing at the Railway, said: “Our brand-new 'Cream Tea on the Move' is a wonderful way to spend quality time together and makes the perfect gift for loved ones.
"Travelling on board our beautiful new carriage ‘Ruth’ makes the experience even more special and is a truly magical way to explore the breath-taking Western Lake District and Coast.”
