AN historic coaching inn in north Cumbria is seeking new custodians.
Understood to have been first established in the 17th century, The Black Swan is situated in the country village of Culgaith, less than a 10 mile drive from the town of Penrith.
Anthony Meadowcroft, director at Charles Louis Commercial Agents said: "I am grateful our clients chose Charles Louis to find a buyer for The Black Swan.
"It’s a charming business and property, freehold pubs with guesthouse accommodation are one of our growing sectors of demand, so I am confident of doing an outstanding job for them.
"It’s in an idyllic country village position that’s a short distance from the likes of Penrith, so running at its full potential, the new owners can enjoy making this an ideal location for Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and ‘Staycation’ holiday makers."
It has been in most recent possession by an experienced couple since 2016.
At present, The Black Swan enjoys exceptional reputation, ranking ‘Superb’ on Booking.com and only becomes available for purchase due to retirement plans.

Mr Meadowcroft added: "My clients are involved on a day-to-day basis so, although an owner-manager could be an ideal fit, it would also be really well-suited to an investor or existing leisure business looking for a strategic bolt-on business and property acquisition.
"There is scope to extend the dining options to accommodate more customers, and also to introduce private function hire and events, so I expect a lot of interest.
"With the size of the premises and country setting, I highly recommend viewing in person to fully appreciate the opportunity."
