Man's body found by rescue teams on Scafell
CUMBRIA Police have confirmed a man's body has been found by Mountain Rescue Teams on Scafell last night (Thursday July 7).
No formal identification has taken place.
A police spokesman said: "Police can confirm that the body of a man, in his 40’s, was found on Scafell, at around 7.16pm today (July 7th), following an extensive search by volunteers from several local Mountain Rescue Teams."
"The man’s family have been made aware of the developments.
"The circumstances are not believed to be suspicious.
