A couple has reflected on the official opening day of their newly-refurbished pub.
John Gray and his partner Nicole Poole officially opened the doors of The Crown Inn in Catton on Saturday.
The couple bought the pub two years ago and has faced many challenges but were excited to welcome guests to see the £150,000. makeover.
The pub was open on Thursday and Friday for a trial night before the 'official' opening day on Saturday.
John and Nicole were apprehensive about the opening night but were met with nothing but praise.
"Nicole and I are over the moon with the opening day," John said.
"It was very busy all day.
"We had so many lovely visitors and such positive feedback.
"It makes all the hard work we've put in worthwhile.
"Now the hard work starts to add new things like a quiz and serving food."
