The Green Homes Grant is helping households across Cumbria benefit from free energy-saving measures for their homes.

Residents are urged to apply as soon as possible, as the grant is available for a short time only.  With soaring energy costs across the country, Eden District Council are urging Cumbrian residents to check their eligibility as soon as possible.

Tenants are encouraged to approach their Landlords who can apply on their behalf, providing the tenant meets the eligibility criteria.

Eligible households must have a household income of below £30,000 and an EPC rating of D, E, F or G. Full costs of the works are covered by the grant and installed by E.ON.

Homes across the county could benefit from free energy efficiency improvements to their homes, including solar panels, air source heat pumps and external wall insulation, in a bid to help reduce fuel poverty and tackle the climate emergency. The aim is to leave you with a warmer, more energy efficient home that costs you less in monthly bills to run and heat.

All costs are covered by the grant funding, with no money needing to be paid back.

E.On will look after the entire journey and will make sure you are comfortable and confident every step of the way.

As part of the scheme, a full assessment of the property is carried out to check the EPC rating and to determine which energy efficiency measures are most appropriate for the property. Following that you will be booked an installation date and a TrustMark registered installer will come out and do the rest!

Act fast! There's just weeks before the scheme closes.
