AN ESTABLISHED singer and business owner who jumped on the opportunity of giving high street retail a go in pop-up shop has secured her own premises.

Owner of Rose Vintage and Retro, Becki Fishwick has officially opened her own store in Barrow town centre after a successful two months in the Barrow BID pop-up shop on Dalton Road.

Business owner and events singer opened Rose Vintage and Retro situated on Crellin Street, Barrow to customers selling real, authentic vintage pieces and retro style clothing, accessories, homeware, shoes, records and much more.

Becki who is excited for this journey said: “It’s been a real challenge trying to find somewhere once my time at Barrow BID was up.

“There wasn’t many properties available to let and it was tough doing it on my own.

“The property I secured, I didn’t think was big enough at first but when I ended up looking around and everything was cleared out from the previous people it looked a lot bigger and I decided I could make it work.

“It’s got an upstairs so I can place stock up there if needed, but I’m going to be making it into a place where I teach.”

Professional singer Becki also runs BeVocal, a singing lesson and workshop company, teaching singing to children aged 5 to 13 year olds and will be turning the upstairs of her new premises into a singing studio for her sessions.

She said: “I use to hire places out but it will be great to have my own space where the students come.

“It’s a big achievement for me, I’m really excited.

"Crellin Street is really bustling I’ve noticed over the last few days and easy to get too, the other shop owners have been very welcoming too”

“It’s a good place to be when passing people and it’s easy to get to.

“It’s just the right place at the right time for me now.”

Rose Vintage and Retro will be open Tuesday to Saturday from 10am until 5pm.
