AN OPPORTUNITY is available to play a key role at your Local Authority.
Applications are being welcomed for the role of accountancy technician at Eden District Council.
The successful applicant would join the council's Financial Services Team.
Duties include data entry, running reports and preforming processes and checks, requesting and collating data as well as working with officers to prepare achievable budgets.
A spokesperson for the council said: "It is essential for applicants to have financial management knowledge including double entry accounting, reconciling and financial processes, experience of using financial management software to record transactions and to extract information."
They added that understanding the requirement for financial controls, intermediate Excel skills and the importance of keeping accurate and clear records are also a must.
The role will be on a permanent 37 hour contract earning £20,092 to £21,748 per year.
