A NEW Windermere business celebrated its launch at one of the area’s most popular bars.

The Salon owned by Kendal hairdresser Anna Sorbie, located on Quarry Rigg, had its launch at the Boater’s Bar on November 25 which saw an incredible night of live music, a DJ, raffle prizes and champagne.

During the evening Anna and her team showcased their products and outlined their plans for the future of the business.

She was joined on the evening by friends and fellow business owners.

Anna said: “It was lovely to see the supporting turn out from local people and businesses.

“It was a fun night with fizz, music and being able to show case what we have on offer. The night ended up with people dancing and laughing.

“So lovely for Rachel Lugo and her 2 daughters from Cheshire housewife's coming to support.

“We hope to see the support carrying on by visiting the salon.”

Services on offer at the salon include cutting, colouring, hair extensions, Brazilian blow dries, special occasion hair and barbering.

Boaters’ manager Olivia Hearty said: “It was lovely to see local friendly people supporting a new business venture.

“The evening was really fun and it was nice to see faces we had not seen since before COVID.

“We thank you for the support not only on behalf of Boaters Bar but also Anna Sorbie who has put everything into opening this salon so we really hope the support continues.”

The event raffle prizes were donated by Travel Emporium Windermere, Dam Group, Bowness Beauty, The Ro hotel, The Beresford Restaurant Bowness, Caffe Riva Bowness, Original Man Bowness, Blackburn football club and Luban Restaurant Liverpool.
