A BURGER business is preparing to launch in Kendal after huge demand from residents.

Spurred on by the success of their Bowness base bosses at Boom Burger announced they will launch in Kendal on November 15, after receiving lots of requests for the burger delivery business to expand into the town.

The business was launched by Joe Nichols last year and the unit on Mintsfeet Industrial Estate joins a growing portfolio with another unit also in Penrith.

“We started in lockdown with One Delivery,” said Elena Nagles, who is in charge of the business’ marketing.

“From then Boom has taken off and we found we were delivering a lot across to Kendal.

“We realised there was a market for it and people were really interested, we get messages asking when are you going to open in Kendal?

“We’ve converted that unit into a fully functioning kitchen and built a great team of professional chefs.

“We’ll be doing burgers, hotdogs, pizzas, breakfast, brunch and bites.

“We want to deliver people restaurant food that they can enjoy in the comfort of their own home."

The business is home delivery only through One Delivery Lake District and Ms Nagle said there are plenty of plans in the works to expand the business.

“We’ve learnt a lot and we do want to continue growing the brand,” she said.

“Our plans for the future are to keep expanding, we want to open more kitchens in Cumbria and even across the UK.

“We would like to expand the food range and we want to get electrical scooters instead of cars to deliver.

“And because we’re on the industrial estate we’re going to offer surrounding businesses a unique code to get discounts on their lunches.

“We want to work with local businesses.”
