AN eight-bedroom hotel ran by a couple for the past 17 years has closed its doors

Cambridge House Hotel in Millom shut for the final time at the beginning of October.

The eight-bedroom hotel, which was sold earlier this year, will no longer be ran as accommodation. 

Co-owners John and Joy Fernley have ran the hotel together for the past 17 years but are now looking forward to enjoying retirement after selling the property.

The hotel was put on the market in 2019 for £200,000 with Corrie and Co.

It was described as superbly well located for Millom train station and the great local amenities in the town.

Included in the hotel is an impressive entrance hall including the original tiled floor, three combined reception rooms, a kitchen, separate utility room, WC and access to the cellar.

The original staircase leads up to the first floor, second floor and annex where you will find eight en-suite bedrooms.

The hotel is also hosting a closing down sale to sell on furniture and facilities the owners no longer need.

The sale is open to the public from 10am until 3pm today and is collection only.
