A council is looking for applicants for a housekeeping job.

Cumbria County Council has an opportunity in their outdoor education centre, at Cumbria Outdoors, for an experienced permanent housekeeper to join the team.

Writing, a spokesperson said: "The successful candidate will be passionate about making a difference and ensuring each person who stays with us has their dietary and comfort needs taken care of.

"Our centre situated close to the shores of Derwentwater provides a safe caring and home-from-home environment for up to 73 guests.

"As a Housekeeper you will be responsible for the preparation and serving of meals including breakfast lunch and evening meals.

"You will also be involved in housekeeping and cleaning around the centres as required.

"The ideal candidates will be motivated positive and methodical.

"We have a small housekeeping team but the role involves interaction with the wider team and the guests children and adults so the right people will have excellent customer service skills and be able to communicate well.
