PLANS: The Last Resort Coffee Shop in Barrow
PLANS have been put forward to convert a cafe into a hot food takeaway.
An application has been submitted to Barrow Borough Council to convert The Last Resort Coffee Shop in Cavendish Street, Barrow into a takeaway facility.
A proposal has also been put forward to convert two one-bedroom flats to one two-bedroom flats situated on the first floor of the coffee shop for use of a manager's flat.
The Last Resort Coffee Shop first opened its doors to customers in 1990 before it was put on the market earlier this year.
The cafe was once famously featured in a scene in crime novel Career of Evil, written by Harry Potter author JK Rowling under her pseudonym Robert Galbraith.
