Cumbria Constabulary’s Rape and Serious Sexual Offences (RASSO), awareness campaign, focuses on providing vital information on what is and is not consent, reporting and local RASSO support service access.

Titled, ‘Your Choice’, the campaign was designed by the Constabulary with the support of the University of Cumbria and their Students’ Union.

In Cumbria:

Being victim to rape or any sexual offence is a truly traumatic experience which can have far-reaching and long-lasting impact on an individual.

The Constabulary recognises that not everyone will feel comfortable in reporting what has happened to them to the police, therefore the campaign is about empowering people with knowledge that they have options and it is their decision who they choose to contact.

In Cumbria:

The campaign highlights confidential support services that can be accessed regardless of whether a crime has just been committed or is historic and regardless of if the crime has been reported to police or not.
