A TEMPORARY road closure has been put in place in Whitehaven.
The temporary road closure has been placed to allow Northern Gas Networks to carry out essential utility works.
The closure will affect the St Georges Terrace, Whitehaven from its junction with Countess Road to its junction with Commodore Street.from its junction with Countess Road to its junction with Commodore Street.
The closure is expected to be in place for approximately two weeks to allow the works to take place.
A suitable alternative route will be made available via the unrestricted section of St Georges Terrace, Hugh Street, Lonsdale Street and Countess Road.
