A popular cafe set in the heart of Ulverston has been nominated for an England's Business Award for best cafe.
Poppies Cafe & Bistro located on Union Street, Ulverston said they were 'made up' to have been nominated for an England's Business Award for best cafe and asked customers to show their support and help them bag a trophy
The idea came from a background of filming business competitions for local councils and the government.
As this was the idea for an independent cross boundary competition which came into being.
The England's Business Awards was designed by talking to local businesses and finding out how they wanted it to be managed and it continues to evolve.
Nominated by the public, judges will take time to meet business owners and managers personally.
