BARROW businesses will be able to enjoy the government's temporary pavement licence provisions until September 2022 after it was extended this month.

It is part of a plan to help the hospitality industry recover from the Covid crisis, with the sector granted temporary leave to serve customers on pavements last year.

Barrow BID say they are able to offer a grant of £100 to BID Levy payers who have been successful in their application for pavement cafe licence from Barrow Borough Council - which will cover 100 per cent of the licence application fee.

The organisation has already covered the cost of pavement licences for Del's Lunchbox and the Barrow Arms.
