Friars Lane, Barrow
A FORMER betting shop is due to become a convenience store, plans suggest.
Proposals have been submitted for signage to make the former Coral shop in Barrow's Friars Lane into a One Stop convenience store.
Illuminated signs are due to be placed on the front of the shop, according to plans.
The store would be open 6am to 10pm seven days a week.
A number of Coral betting shops in Barrow previously closed when the company merged with rival firm Ladbrokes.
Walney Promenade and Bath Street are locations of previous Coral shops now empty in Barrow.
