A GARDEN centre owned by the same family for 80 years is on the market.
Southern Lakeland Nurseries in Flookburgh is on the market for just under £500,000.
According to agents, the Ernest Wilson, the centre opened to the public around 60 years ago.
A listing said: “Our client’s family have owned and operated this site since the 1940s, first setting out as growers and then opening to the public in the 1960s.
“In recent years, the business has become more retail focused, however, the glass houses and poly tunnels remain on site.
“This is a substantial 1.3 acre site with lots of development potential. The business is operated in very easy hours for this trade and is priced very sensibly to sell.
“This is a level site occupying a prominent corner position with car park to the front with the main entrance to the garden centre sitting prominently.”
