Carlisle-based Brown & Wilson Steels celebrated its tenth year of business by donating thousands of pounds to two charities. The company gave £2,500 to the Fire Fighters’ Charity and £5,000 to Carlisle and Eden Mind.

Ian Harding, managing director of the Steelstock UK Group, which owns Brown & Wilson Steels, said: “Since its creation in 2011, the depot has grown year by year due to the excellence of its customer service and responsiveness to customers requirements. We are so proud of what the team at the depot have achieved and we are proud to have donated such vital funds to these important charities.”

The team at Carlisle is led by Rob Anderton and Lucy Cottier. Lucy said: “Both of the charities that I put forward carry out amazing work in the local community, both are very close to my heart. I’m proud to be part of a company that have donated funds to these charities. This was a great way to celebrate our 10th anniversary.”
