After being closed for more than one year, a pizzeria is back with a bang!

LB’s Pizza House, in Keswick, has once again opened its doors – with a specially designed new menu on offer.

To celebrate the long-awaited reopening, and create a bit of excitement on social media, the popular pizzeria – part of Lake District Hotels Ltd – took to the group’s Instagram, asking customers to design their own pizza, with the chance of it being featured on the new menu.

And with plenty of entries pouring in, from the traditionally Italian to the outright bizarre, Lake District Hotels Ltd head chef, Mark Harris, whittled the list down to just eight finalists, whose designs inspired him the most.

Following days of customer polls, with the pizzas pitted head-to-head, the winning creation was chosen – Charlotte Watson's San Marzano tomato, mozzarella, nduja, burrata, drizzle of chilli oil and honey, entitled Fan Flavour.

As a reward, the Sheffield woman won 10 free pizzas to enjoy at the venue, meaning she is able to come see her creation brought to life and taste the tempting flavours for herself.

The restaurant – overseen by Italian head chef, Fabio Ricchieri – serves an impressive range of traditional stone-baked pizzas inspired by the chef’s hometown of Frassinelle Polesine, close to the city of Venice.

LB’s Pizza House is located in the Kings Arms Courtyard just off Keswick’s Market Square, and is now open every Wednesday-to-Sunday from 12pm-10pm.

Takeaways are also available on these days from 5pm each evening.
