FIREFIGHTERS attended reports of a man in the river in Carlisle late last night.
Crews attended the incident in Rickerby Park at 11.30pm. The man had got out of the River Eden by the time they arrived.
A Carlisle East spokesman said: "We recently ran a water safety campaign. If you do go in the water make sure you are with people and within your capabilities. Make sure it is safe and that you have the right equipment to deal with cold water."
