A DOG OWNER has been warned that his pet will be destroyed if it is not kept under control after it injured another man.
Frank Gate, 58, of Highmoor Park, Wigton, appeared at Carlisle Magistrates Court on May 5.
He pleaded guilty to one charge of being out of control of his Patterdale Terrier, Alfie. The dog must now be muzzled to prevent it biting.
Gate was handed a conditional discharge, but ordered to pay compensation of £150, as well as a victim surcharge of £22 and costs of £85.
