(Above) The town coat of arms on one of the eight windows in the committee room of Kendal Town Hall.
This is where the council meetings were held, and are all visible from Lowther Street.
There were, a total of thirty four chairs, each embossed with the arms in gold onto Kendal green leather.
They have either been sold, or put into storage due to the high cost of refurbishment.
