A FAMILY owned business is looking forward to showing its support for a much-loved not-for-profit circus for the fifth year in a row.

Swansway Group, which owns Carlisle Audi, has announced its highest Circus Starr donation yet for this year's show, at £5,840.

Circus Starr has not been able to host any shows throughout 2020, or as of yet in 2021.

Communications and engagement manager at Circus Starr, Sarah Hall, said: “There is no denying that this past year has been tough, and it’s been tough on so many of the families who we usually get to see every year at our shows and bring some joy to.

“The support from Swansway Group really is invaluable and we can’t say thank you enough.”

“We hope to see our children and families again soon and get our fabulous show back out on the road!”

For every vehicle sold on the Motability Scheme, Swansway Group donates £20 to enable a child and their carer to go to a Circus Starr show.

Swansway group director, David Smyth said: “We’re so looking forward to seeing Circus Starr return and we can’t wait to see the smiles on all of the children’s - and their families’ - faces.

“Being able to continue our support over the last 12 months has been so important to us and we hope everyone can return to enjoy the shows soon.”

Both organisations are very hopeful that the first show of 2021 will be able to take place on 27th June in Stoke-on-Trent.

The Motability Scheme is open to anyone in receipt of higher rate mobility allowance.
