A B&B owner has spent his time in lockdown creating a new business to bring the joys of the Lake District to fans across the world.

Andrew Staley, 31, who part owns 3 Cambridge Villas B&B in Ambleside, has launched his own fashion and lifestyle label showcasing Cumbria’s world-famous fells, lakes and climbs.

Since its inception earlier this year, Andrew has launched 15 different designs to the market and has so far attracted orders from across the globe through promoting his brand on social media.

Mr Staley said: “Like other people in the tourism industry, I’ve had a lot more time on my hands than usual of late. So many people are missing their usual Lake District holidays so I came up with a way of nurturing people’s love for our area by creating products like t shirts, hoodies, mugs and even jewellery featuring their favourite attractions.”

Slogans featured on Andrew’s products include ‘Wainwrights are my Weakness’, ‘More like Hell-Vellyn’ and ‘I’d rather be in the Lake District’.

He said: “It’s been a lot of fun setting up a business that allows me to indulge in one of my big passions – my love for the Lake District where I grew up and live now. Our customers love our fun slogans and say wearing the products make them think of their favourite place as they wear them with pride – that’s lovely to hear.

“I’d love to continue to grow the business and introduce more product lines too.”

Lake District Loves products are currently available online at: lakedistrictlover.com.

Products will also be available at his B&B as lockdown eases in the spring.
