THE FINAL report of the Government’s review of business rates will now be published in the Autumn "when there is more economic certainty".
The announcement was made on Friday, the initial review had been launched by the chancellor, Rishi Sunak, in last year’s budget.
An interim report, which will include a summary of consultation responses, will however be published on March 23.
It is hoped that, by publishing the report later in the year there will be "more clarity on the long-term state of the economy and the public finances".
The call for evidence closed last year and the government is current considering responses.
