A POST Office is preparing to relocate into a convenience store.

Frizington Post Office is set to make the move into the main building at 1 Main Street, Frizington.

The current postmaster has decided to relocate the current Post Office into the main convenience sotre.

There will be extensive work to relocate the Post Office to modify the main entrance for easier access.

Working with the postmaster, the Post Office will adapt the current store layout, fixtures and fittings to accommodate the store.

There will be a dedicated area of the store for the Post Office with one screened and one open-plan position.

The same range of Post Office products and services will still be available.

The new opening hours would be Monday 8.30am to 5pm, Tuesday 9am to 5pm and Saturday 9am to 12.30pm.

Kenny Lamont, Post Office network provision manager, said: "We are confident that this vibrant new-style Post Office as the heart of the local community will meet customer needs."

Feedback on the planned moved will close on March 17, 2021.
