A NEW TV dating show, billed as 'Winter's Love Island' is currently being aired after filming took place at an exclusive resort in Cumbria.

ITV 2's The Cabins is based at Hidden River Cabins - a venue whose holiday accommodation has hot tubs.

The show has already been recorded with strict Coronavirus measures in place.

The first episode was aired on Monday and it will run nightly for three weeks.

An ITV spokeswoman said: "Singletons are challenged to the most revealing first date of their lives in the brand new series.

"Our cast of singles will be throwing out the rule book and deleting their dating apps as they attempt to find love.

"From the moment they meet the couples immediately move in together, as their date begins in their very own exclusive log cabins, complete with simmering hot tubs and set in beautiful surroundings.

"Nestled together in their intimate cabins, the singletons will have quality time to really get to know their date."

A spokeswoman for the venue said: "Hidden River Cabins is unique as we provide traditional log cabins in the beautiful Cumbrian countryside.

"Each cabin has been spaced far apart from each other to create the feeling of seclusion with the added extra of hot tubs overlooking the river."
