Bensons for Beds lets you try out new beds virtually

The nationwide bed retailer, which has an outlet in Carlisle, has extended its 30-minute sleep consultation via video call.

While its retail outlets may be closed, Benson remains open for business online as usual, ramping up its video consultations for customers across Britain.

Benson’s new virtual appointment service fills that gap and is accessible at www.bensonsforbeds.co.uk/store-finder/ so customers can take advantage of personal consultations and the 20 per cent January sale offer on beds, mattresses and bedroom furniture.

And while Bensons has closed the 39 locations it had open in Tier 2 and 3 areas, complying with the new lockdown rules in place across England, it has today written to the three governments offering up all its stores in England, Scotland and Wales as vaccination centres.

Bensons’ revamped website is open for business at www.bensonsforbeds.co.uk offering virtual appointments to help those shopping from home.

In line with government advice to keep British manufacturing open, Bensons’ factory in Huntingdon, currently remains fully operational to fulfil existing and new orders.

Alongside social distancing measures, it is protecting colleagues by operating a dual shift system to further limit contact between staff.

Deliveries continue uninterrupted by the new lockdown measures.

Scheduled deliveries are made by crews adhering to the strict standards of hygiene and social distancing.

Joe Wyckes, chief operating officer, said: “While the current situation was challenging, it was open for business online and would maintain manufacturing despite the upstream disruption on its suppliers for raw materials such as foam, fabric and springs.

“While these are difficult circumstances for so-called non-essential retailers, we’re working hard to maintain our operations for customers who need us.”

Despite the pandemic, Bensons is transforming at pace.
