POLICE have put out an appeal after defibrillators were damaged.

The incidents took place in Annan on December 19 and January 1.

A spokesman for Dumfries Galloway Police Division said: "The first incident took place on December 18 at Station House, Station Road.

The second took place on January 1 at Atwal's convenience store, Springbells Road.

"Life saving defibrillator boxes were damaged meaning that the equipment had to be removed as they would be damaged by the poor weather.

"In our rural communities these machines could save someone’s life.

"Did you see anything or witness any persons damaging them? If so we are keen to hear from you."

Anyone with information ring police on 101.
