BUSINESSES leaders looking to recruit new employees are being offered a free advert.

As we start a new year, LocaliQ and Newsquest Cumbria – the parent companies of News & Star, The Mail, The Westmorland Gazette, The Cumberland News, the Times and Star, The Whitehaven News and The Hexham Courant, are 'Working for Cumbria'.

We have partnered with Sellafield and Dodd and Co to offer employers with recruitment opportunities free adverts to find their ideal candidates.

The campaign will also see recruitment experts offer jobseekers top tips on how to secure their dream roles.

As well as offering advice on ways to improve your CV and prepare for an important interview, the eight week 'Working for Cumbria' campaign will help promote job opportunities to across the county.

Any independent or family-run business with employment opportunities is invited to take advantage of the campaign.

Vanessa Sims, Newsquest Cumbria's regional group editor said: "Working for Cumbria is all about helping our loyal readers and advertisers get back on their feet after the devastating impact of the coronavirus pandemic.

"We are offering free adverts to help job-hunters see the full range of opportunities our wonderful county has to offer as well helping local businesses discover homegrown talent."

Businesses wanting to take up the offer should contact Emily Wood via email on Emily.wood@localiq.co.uk or by calling 07734 996274.
