Cumbria is 'perfectly placed' to lead the UK on net zero carbon targets, say politicians and business leaders.
MPs Tim Farron and John Stevenson joined leaders from Sellafield, EDF, the county council, the Local Enterprise Partnership and national park as part of a virtual event hosted by Electricity North West.
However they said to achieve net zero carbon by 2037, they said the county had to act now to drive a green recovery from covid-19 and the transition out of the EU.
