New Covid-19 restrictions were today set out by the UK Government with Cumbria placed in tier two, but what does that mean for you?

Here are all the details on Covid-19 restrictions for areas in tier two of the new system.

When the second national lockdown ends on December 2, people from different households will not be allowed to mix indoors unless they part of a support bubble.

Groups of up to, but not exceeding, six people will be permitted to meet outdoors.

Gyms, personal care services and shops can reopen with social distancing measures in place.

Pubs and bars must close unless they can serve a "substantial" sit down meal. Hospitality venues such as restaurants and pubs serving food must provide table-service only, closing between 11pm and 5am. Which means last orders at 10pm.

Sports grounds can welcome up to 2,000 spectators, or 50 per cent of their usual capacity.

Weddings in tier two areas are permitted but limited to 15 guests at the ceremony and reception. Funerals are also permitted and limited to 30 guests, including associated events.

Foreign travel is permitted but quarantine rules still apply.

The Government's new Covid-19 tier system was set out by health secretary Matt Hancock in the House of Commons this morning with a promise to review restrictions every two weeks.

Cumbria joins York, Suffolk and Shropshire in tier two with areas of the North East placed in the toughest restrictions, tier three.
