Trading Standards has issued an warning after there has been reports of cold callers knocking on peoples doors in Lazonby.
The men were reported after attempting to offer unwanted services.
A spokesman for Cumbria Trading Standards said: “We have received a report of two males cold calling residents from a Toyota van on the Meadow Close estate in Lazonby offering to power wash and seal driveways.
“They may have also visited surrounding areas.
“Please be cautious of anyone offering goods or services on the doorstep and don’t make any hasty decisions.
“Make sure you know who you are dealing with. If any work is agreed on the doorstep you should be given a 14 day statutory cancellation notice in writing.
“Failure to do this in these circumstances is an offence.”
