In this week's Pets Rehoming column, we hear about two adorable pets who have since found forever homes courtesy of the great people of Oak Tree Animals’ Charity.

MILO

Happy Milo has been in his new home for just under a month after spending a few weeks at Oak Tree.

Milo found his forever home with an active family who were looking for a dog to take to agility classes and go paddle boarding in the Lakes. We thought this sounded perfect for him and we were actually a bit envious!

Milo’s new owners say his training is coming on well and they can’t wait to take part in our online training classes to show off what he’s learnt. Milo is so clever; he has figured out where his family keep all his puzzles so, if anyone goes to the garage, he waits patiently to see what they are bringing back for him!

Milo settled in with his new family immediately and will often take himself off to his bed when he’s tired.

Milo has definitely fallen on his paws with this forever home.

GOMEZ

One year ago, a very young Gomez was found crying in a hedge on Halloween and was brought to Oak Tree. After searching for his owners, to no avail, it was concluded that Gomez was a stray and would be rehomed. A lovely lady fell in love with him and once he had been checked by the vet and deemed ready to leave, he was adopted and taken to his forever home.

A year on and Gomez is very happy with his new family.

His owner remarks “Gomez loves to stretch out in the garden, when he isn’t attacking the plants! He is full of character and almost seems to think he’s part dog, playing and sleeping with his new canine pals.”

Not all Halloween happenings have to be scary and we’re delighted that Gomez is purrfectly happy in his new home.
