Every November, students from the University of Cumbria converge on Carlisle Cathedral in celebration of the achievement of their degree after years of hard work.
Unfortunately, in this most peculiar of years, staging this momentous occasion will not be possible and, as for students across the country, the alternative of a virtual graduation instead beckons.
In today's gallery we look back on the proud day when students were able to celebrate their hard-earned degrees alongside their friends and families in what is ordinarily a true landmark moment in one's life.
For those featured, these pictures will undoubtedly bring back happy memories of student life, friends the met along the way and the proud moment they graduated.
